About Me
Dr. Alain Sabri is an American Board certified Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon (ENT) and a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon currently practicing at Reem Hospital as a consultant and professor of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck surgery.
Dr. Sabri also is the founder and CEO of a healthcare consultancy company: 'Avicenna Healthcare Consultancy Group' https://avicennahealth.group. In addition, he serves as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO-EMEA) for Europe, Middle East and Africa, for Health Quest Global, a functional medicine, wellness and preventive medicine international organization https://www.healthquestglobal.com. He also serves on the board of multiple educational organizations and hospitals.
His medical educational journey included graduating from the American University of Beirut’s Faculty of Medicine in 1992. He then completed his general surgery residency training at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC, followed by residency training in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Case Western Reserve University Hospitals of Cleveland, Ohio. He went one to complete two sub-specialty fellowships in Head and Neck Cancer/Skull Base Surgery-Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery (1999-2000) and in Otology/Neurotology (2000-2001) at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Sabri also holds a master’s degree in Hospital and Health Management from Ecole Supérieure des Affaires (affiliated with the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris). He pursued additional Health Leadership courses at l’Institut Européen d’Administration des Affaires (INSEAD). He is American Board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He was also awarded the American Board certification of Facial Plastic & reconstructive surgery in 2004.
Throughout his 25 year career, Dr. Sabri has remained active as a busy surgeon, a teacher and researcher. He is a member of numerous professional societies and has held leadership roles on international committees, panels and meetings. He has lectured extensively in Lebanon and internationally and presented instructional courses, almost yearly for two decades, at the American Academy of Otolaryngology, which granted him its Honor Award in 2010. He has published widely and authored several book chapters, including contributions to the Cummings’ Otolaryngology textbook. He has published a medical textbook and is currently working on another medical textbook due to be published in the coming year. He currently serves on the International Advisory Committee of the American Head and Neck Society and on the Programs committee as well as the grassroots committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery In addition to his professional career, Dr. Sabri has been involved in numerous humanitarian medical missions in South America and the Middle East helping establish free clinics and serving less fortunate communities. He is a board member of educational organizations and serves on medical boards including a cancer charity. His hobbies include avid reading, exploring various cultures, tennis, padel, squash, downhill skiing, motorcycling, collecting antiques.
